Yorkshire Slump to Another On-Day Defeat 19/5/2025
Yorkshire Phoenix slumped to a 66 run defeat by the Leicestershire Foxes at Grace Road.

This defeat, their second in the National League, has left them second from bottom of the NCL Division 1 table.

Leicestershire Foxes made 247-8 in their 45 overs, Ryan Sidebottom was again the pick of the Yorkshire Bowlers taking 5-42 from his 9 overs.

Needing 248 to win Yorkshire's top order again failed to perform. Wood went without scoring, opener Michael Lumb made 19, Silverwood in at number 3 scored 10 and McGrath, Blakey and Fellows scored only 4 runs between them.

The lower order were a vast improvement with Craven scoring 35, Bresnan, 25, Gray 30* and Sidebottom and Kirby scoring 13 and 15 respectively. But is was all too late and Yorkshire were bowled out for 181.
