A Tough Day for the Bowlers in Northampton 16/5/2025

Only 3 wickets fell in Day 2 of the Frizzell County Championship Match at Wantage Road.
Yorkshire resuming on 360-9 moved their total onto 399 all out. Richard Dawson the last man out for a very credible 77. Matthew Hoggard the man not out reached 21.
Northampton came in to bat and opener Powell was out quickly bowled Hoggard caught Bresnan for only 5. But the next wicket was along time coming. Australian Michael Hussey put on 65 before falling to Gray. This was only after he and Phil Jaques had put on 189 for the 2nd wicket. Jaques remains 183 not out overnight, partnered by Cook on 24.
Northamptonshire resume today on 311-2.
