Yorkshire Cruise to Victory in C & G Trophy 5/8/2024
Yorkshire put any doubts behind them from Monday's performance as they cruised in to the next round of the C & G Trophy and a set up a tie against Worcestershire on May 28th.



Having won the toss and electing to bat Yorkshire made 299-5 with Matthew Wood hitting an unbeaten 118.



Cambridgeshire set 300 to win never looked like achieving this target with only Gadsby and Akhtar putting up any real resistance scoring 53 and 46 respectively. 



Nine of the Yorkshire team had a bowl and Andy Gray finished his 10 overs with 3-37 and Matthew Wood bowling for the first time this year completed 6 overs and took 3-45.



Cambridgeshire completed their 50 overs with 214-8, 85 runs short of the target.
