The Yorkshire Terriers Vs Meterplus
The Yorkshire Terriers are playing their annual fixture at Headingley against MeterPlus on Saturday 4th September at 1pm. It is a charity match with all donations and proceeds going to Macmillan Cancer Relief.
The Yorkshire Terriers is Yorkshire’s disabled cricket team – a mighty fine and extraordinary team.

The MeterPlus team was put together by giving staff the opportunity to bid for their place (up to a max of £25), the highest bidders winning places on the team and Macmillan Cancer Relief winning more donations!
The cricket match is an open event and everyone is welcome to come and see MeterPlus take on the mighty Yorkshire Terriers, there will be refreshments, parking is available and it’s free entry, contributions will be gratefully received.
There is a raffle – up for grabs is a Yorkshire cricket shirt, signed by the Yorkshire team, a mini cricket bat signed by Mike Gatting, a test match T-shirt and a family portrait voucher for a leading photographer.
Please, please come along, enjoy a great day out for the family – watch some cricket, win prizes, have fun! Its also a fantastic opportunity to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Relief. You also get the opportunity to see the Yorkshire Terriers play cricket, they are an amazing team to watch.
MeterPlus and Npower have so far raised over £310K for Macmillan and are continually working to create more donations through events such as charity football matches, the peak district challenge, charity cricket matches and of course taking part in the world’s biggest coffee morning!
Everyone is extremely welcome, the more the merrier – remember for every pound raised on the day MeterPlus will match and donate to Macmillan.
