YORKSHIRE DRAW WITH DERBYSHIRE IN FRIZZELL CCH2 AT HEADINGLEY 16/8/2024

Jon Moss hit a defiant 87 as Derbyshire held on for a draw in their Frizzell County Championship clash with Yorkshire at Headingley.
After forcing Derbyshire to follow on 242 behind, Yorkshire scented victory but met stubborn resistance from Moss and Steve Stubbings.
Yorkshire gave themselves hope when John Blain had Andrew Gait trapped lbw early on but Moss and Stubbings then came together in a 115-run stand for the second wicket.
Stubbings was finally bowled by Australian Darren Lehmann after occupying 138 balls for his 58.

Hassan Adnan used up 32 crucial minutes in a 28-ball innings of six and Moss battled on before being run out after hitting 10 fours and a six in 153 balls at the crease.
His dismissal gave Yorkshire a chance to grab the win but they could claim just one more wicket as the visitors clung on.
Richard Dawson managed to remove James Bryant lbw for 10 but Yorkshire could find no way past Chris Bassano and captain Luke Sutton.
The pair put on 55 in an unbroken stand as Derbyshire reached 245 for five before a draw was declared.
Sutton finished unbeaten on 33 after facing 70 balls and Bassano was not out 29 from 97.
