Clemo MG Rover Cruises into Second year of Sponsorship with Chris Taylor
Clemo MG Rover has announced the renewal of their Sponsorship deal with Yorkshire County Cricket Club player Chris Taylor for the 2004 season. Richard Smith, Chief Executive of Clemo MG Rover, decided to continue the deal as the relationship between Chris and the company blossomed during their first year of association. Chris said of the deal, “I am pleased to be associated with such a professional organisation for another season”.
Clemo, based at Cleckheaton, feel Chris has a great future as a batsman and are happy to enter a second season of partnership with such a friendly, promising young man. Chris chose to drive an MG ZT because of its combination of sports handling, stylish appearance and practicality.
Pudsey born Chris, 23, made seven appearances for the 1st XI during 2003 as well as scoring a record number of runs in the 2nd XI Championship which Yorkshire won in a nail-biting finish to the season. Chris, who also plays for Undercliffe in the Bradford League, is hoping to secure a permanent place in the Yorkshire 1st XI during the 2004 season.
Chris aided Clemo with the launch of its new Daihatsu Franchise in October last year, bringing along Yorkshire team mate Vic Craven. Clemo took advantage of new European regulations to add the Daihatsu franchise to its impressive facilities and then a month later also became an Authorised Repairer for Citroen.
