Yorkshire’s batsman Michael Lumb has topped the tables with the most sixes hit in the Twenty20 Cup Competition after the zonal rounds.
Lumb scored 13 sixes in total, two more than the second man in the table, Craig Spearman of Gloucestershire. For this achievement Lumb will receive Ł1,500 prize money.
Three of Lumb’s sixes were hit in one over during last nights victory against Nottinghamshire, for which he received the Man of the Match award.
The remaining teams left in the competition are Leicestershire, Warwickshire, Glamorgan and Surrey. These clubs will be fighting for the Twenty20 Cup in the semi finals and final, which will be held on the 19th July 2003 at Lord’s Cricket Ground in London.
