1) Yorkshire beat Northamptonshire by an innings and 343 runs to record their third most decisive win by an innings margin. The two better were versus Northamptonshire at Harrogate in 1921 (innings and 397 runs) and versus Derbyshire at Chesterfield in 1898 (innings and 387 runs)
2) Yorkshire completed a hat-trick of wins against Northamptonshire at Headingley, having beaten them on their two previous visits - in 1997 and 2001
3) The Yorkshire score of 673 for 8 wkts dec is the highest total ever made in a first-class match on the ground - the previous highest being 653 for 4 wkts dec by Australia versus England in 1993. Yorkshire’s previous highest was 560 for 6 wkts dec versus Leicestershire in 1921
4) It is the highest total ever conceded by Northamptonshire - exceeding the 670 for 9 wkts dec made by Sussex at Hove in 1921
5) The total of 673 for 8 wkts dec is the fourth highest total ever made by Yorkshire - only the 887 versus Warwickshire at Birmingham in 1896, 704 versus Surrey at The Oval in 1899 and
681 for 5 wkts dec versus Sussex at Sheffield in 1897 being higher.
6) Richard Blakey’s score of 223* is his highest innings for Yorkshire - exceeding the 204* he made versus Gloucestershire at Headingley in 1987. It is also his highest score in first-class cricket - exceeding the 221 he made for England ‘A’ versus Zimbabwe at Bulawayo in 1989-90
7) It is the third highest individual score for Yorkshire versus Northamptonshire - exceeded only by 277* by Percy Holmes at Harrogate in 1921 and 269* by Leonard Hutton at Wellingborough in 1949
