Outstanding spells from the Yorkshire bowlers ended any glimmer of hope Northamptonshire may have had in the Frizzell County Championship match at Headingley.

Having lost one wicket over night it wasn't long before the strike force of Gough and Silverwood struck. Claiming 3 and 4 wickets respectively. Captain McGrath also chipped in with 2 wickets and Ryan Sidebottom claimed 1. The final wicket fell just after lunch to Darren Gough who had also claimed the first wicket of the match.

Northamptonshire ended their innings with only 139 runs and were no match for the outstanding Yorkshire team who looked in great form with both bat and ball.
