Pocklington-based corporate software provider, VMS, has signed up with Yorkshire County Cricket to streamline part of the club’s backroom ‘team’.
VMS, currently one of the county’s fastest growing software and support providers to SMEs, has installed a state of the art financial management package at the club’s Headingley headquarters in Leeds.
The system - Sage Line 100 - will save the club time and money. Its Chief Accountant, David Ryder, said: “Our old system has served us well for around 12 years but quite honestly it was badly in need of a permanent substitution.
“VMS have an excellent track record in this field and it’s good that we were able to source the software and expertise in our own county.”
Ken Wood, VMS Head of Marketing, said: “In cricketing parlance, the old system was down to its shortest of run ups and was beginning to give the selectors a headache. The Sage Line 100 package will give the club’s accounting team the benefit of enhanced management information - more of it and quicker than ever before”.
VMS is one of the UK’s leading Sage suppliers and has recently experienced its busiest ever month in sales as more companies, especially those in the SME sector, are investing in improved financial management systems to achieve long-term cost savings.
