'The Dazzler' made a great start to the season with six wickets and scores of 33 and 7* in the opening match against Gloucestershire but a calf muscle injury sustained during his World Cup campaign with England severely restricted his appearances during the remainder of the summer. Even so, Darren captured 17 wickets in only three Championship appearances to remind everyone what a great player he is both for county and country.
