Headingley stadium played host last night to the STYLO sponsored closing celebration of The Yorkshire County Cricket Club’s 2004 season. Despite an unsuccessful season on the pitch this did nothing to dampen spirits on the night.
The evenings entertainment featured a fantastic Question and Answer session between Yorkshire ace and England International star Michael Vaughan and Yorkshire Television’s Jason McCartney.
Awards presented include:
Tim Bresnan - Young Player of the Year
Phil Jaques - Players Player of the Year
Anthony McGrath - Player of the Year
Michael Vaughan - Yorkshire Sport Achievement
Bresnan and Jaques were unfortunately unable to attend the event as they were out of the country, however fellow team-mates and Player of the Year winner Anthony McGrath were on hand to pick up the awards on their behalf.
Guest of honour Michael Vaughan scooped an award in recognition of his excellent contribution to English cricket.
The club also paid special thanks to Phillip Stoner Jewellers for their continuous support over the past three-years and who very kindly donated the spectacular solid silver hand made players trophies.
Yorkshire would also like to pass on a sincere thank you to STYLO for once again sponsoring the clubs End of Season Dinner.
