YORKSHIRE DEFEATED BY MIDDLESEX IN TSL2 AT HEADINGLEY 7/4/2025
A rain affected match at Headingley saw Yorkshire lose to Middlesex in the Totesport League Division 2 by 29 runs. The match was reduced to 24 overs per side and Yorkshire on winning the toss put Middlesex into bat first.
Middlesex went on to make a huge 209 off their 24 overs including 81 from Dalrymple.  Vic Craven was the pick of the Yorkshire bowlers taking 4-50 off his 5.  Matthew Hoggard broke down after only 3 balls and could take no further part in the match.

A huge target set Yorkshire didn't make the best of starts losing stand-in Captain Matthew Wood for only 1. Gale and in-form Jaques put on a good stand making 33 and 70 repectively.  Tim Bresnan came in at number 4 to try and keep the run rate up and he made a valiant 39.  But it wasn't enough for the Phoenix.  Both Lumb and Craven failed with the bat and Chris Silverwood 10 was the only other player to make double figures as Yorkshire were all out for 180, 29 runs short.
