YORKSHIRE TOP OF TSL2 WITH AN 8-WICKET VICTORY OVER SUSSEX 28/6/2025
Opener Andrew Gale struck 46, the highest score of the match, as Yorkshire Phoenix stayed top of Division Two after an eight-wicket win over Sussex Sharks.

Gale and Matthew Wood shared a second-wicket stand of 92 in 20 overs at Arundel as Phoenix eased to 119 with 18.1 overs in hand.

Gale, playing only his second league game, struck six fours and a six before being caught behind with 25 needed.

The pair batted in unhurried fashion after Yorkshire lost Chris Taylor to the second ball of the innings.

Wood made an unbeaten 41 from 68 balls including four fours.

Only opener Matt Prior with 27 and Wright (25) made any meaningful progress for Sussex, who were skittled out for their lowest one-day score of the season with 12.5 overs of their innings remaining as Vic Craven took 3-13.
