Yorkshire have cruised to victory by a massive 320 runs against Durham at the Riverside. After winning the toss and electing to bat, the Tykes posted an impressive 331 with solid contributions from Wood (55) and a well earned century from Anthony McGrath (126).
On a good pitch, Richard Dawson continues to impress with the ball as he took 5 for 40 to reduce Durham to 150 all out in their first innings. Choosing not to enforce the follow on, Yorkshire went into bat once again and declared on 353 for 9. Matthew Wood added 77 to his first innings score and overseas sensation Darren Lehmann hit a quick fire 120 from only 144 balls.
Needing 534 to win, or five sessions to bat for the draw, Durham set off to a reasonable start reaching 141 for 2. With contributions from MJ North (59) and England International PD Collingwood (65) Yorkshire found it difficult to make in-roads. With Steve Kirby eventually taking the wicket of North, the floodgates then began to open and once again, pick of the bowlers was Dawson who took a further 4 for 75 taking his match figures to 9 for 115.
