Yorkshire Captain Anthony McGrath, 27 is one of three uncapped players called up to the England squad for the 1st npower Test Match v Zimbabwe starting at Lords on Thursday.
Lancashire's James Anderson and Sussex's James Kirtley are the other uncapped players.
McGrath who has toured Pakistan with the England A team had been tipped for stardom as a young player but never received the call-up.
He has been in good form so far this season for Yorkshire and is also useful with the ball.
