YORKSHIRE COMMITTEEMAN TENDERS RESIGNATION

At their meeting yesterday the Yorkshire County Cricket Club General Committee accepted with regret the resignation of Philip Akroyd from the General and Cricket Committees for personal reasons.

This creates a casual vacancy on the General Committee and a District election for the West will therefore be necessary. Formal notification will be sent to all Members in the West District advising them of the vacancy and inviting those interested in standing for election to make application to the Chief Executive.

The Committee expresses it's thanks to Philip Akroyd for his services to the Club over a period of 17 years (since 1984).

Ends 4/9/01
