The Yorkshire Electricity Group are an expanding organisation, keen to be perceived as more than just a regional electricity supplier in the run-up to de-regulation in 1998. They required a well-developed corporate presence, relevant for investors and cus tomers alike, demonstrating all aspects of their business.

Movement interests the visitor more than static images, and animation is an important web-tool. Moving logos and dynamic illustrations of a wind-farm provide added interest to the web-site visitor.

A web-site's contents should be obvious, and easy navigation is essential for the user. The web-site utilised a common menu throughout, allowing easy movement between sections.

Careful design allowed YEG to maintain their corporate image, while still using this new medium to full effect.
